I know most of you are excited about your kiddos heading home for Thanksgiving break! I know I am. They will sleep, they will hang out with friends and will seem like they don’t really care to hang with you. But what they will cherish is the normalcy that you and your home brings to them, after months of adapting to a completely different way of living! So, let’s all remember to enjoy these few days together and let our college kids rest and enjoy home! Momma’s and Daddy’s try … try not to ask all the school questions! They have a few days to decompress before they head back to school for finals and high stress! (When you are on vacation do you want to talk about work?!) There will be plenty of time over the long Christmas/winter break to discuss school. So lighten up over Thanksgiving break! Let them hang out, play games, sleep, eat, watch movies, but most importantly LAUGH! When they are home spending time with you make happy memories!! Enjoy your kids and let them have a few stress free days! We all deserve them!
